Volunteer and Driver Requirements
All parents, guardians, and community volunteers must complete fingerprint clearance through the district before participating in any school-related activities. This requirement applies to all forms of volunteering, including field trips, classroom assistance, and driving students. No individual may volunteer or transport students until fingerprinting has been completed and cleared by the district.
We encourage families to begin this process early to avoid delays in participating in school events.
To begin the process:
- Submit the form to the school office for the principal's signature.
- Once the form has been signed, you will need to pick it up from the school.
After receiving the signed form:
- Use the phone number listed at the top of the form to schedule your fingerprinting appointment.
- Please note that fingerprinting appointments are only available on the days and times listed on the form.
For Volunteer Drivers:
In addition to fingerprint clearance, any volunteer who plans to drive students must also complete the VUSD Volunteer Personal Automobile Use Form. This form must be on file and approved prior to transporting any students.
Please pay close attention to the required documents that will need to be uploaded:
- A copy of your Driver's License and
- A copy of your Insurance Declarations Page (not your Insurance card).
